  • No injectable anaesthetic required
  • No scalpels, no cutting and no ablation of the skin
  • No stitches and suturing required
  • Very low risk procedure with minimal side effects and very short downtimes – especially with our device
  • Quick & easy procedure with rapid recovery
  • No thinning of the skin
  • More uniform than ablative resurfacing using lasers
  • Significant cost savings compared to comparable alternatives with long-lasting results (usually around 3 years and many results permanent)

How Does It Work?

As we get older, the collagen and elastin in our bodies degrade, weakening the structural integrity or “scaffolding” that holds up the skin. This causes skin wrinkling and/or sagging. Plasma “fibroblasting” triggers fibroblast cell division in the body to stimulate a good subdermal cleanout, and stimulate collagen and elastin production.

  • We target fibroblast cells with precision heat and trauma using plasma arcs produced by the Plasma Pen.
  • Inflammation starts minutes after our micro-injuries which increases blood flow to the area.
  • The body immediately activates and stimulates the fibroblast cells into creating new cells.
  • The new fibroblast cells spread towards the trauma and leave behind elastin cells and the good types of new collagen (1 and 3).
  • Increased levels of type 3 collagen production then occur for weeks and months after the trauma, which then synthesizes into tougher type 1 collagen.
