What are Eyelash Extension?
Eyelash extensions are one's ultimate answer for longer, thicker, and more beautiful-looking eyelashes. Developed to mimic your clients natural eyelashes, each eyelash extension is individually applied to a single natural eyelash, resulting in a gorgeous, natural appearance. Using a proprietary adhesive, eyelash extensions should only be applied by a trained and certified Eyelash Extensions Stylist/technician. Eyelash Extensions are not traditional false eyelashes, eyelash flares, or implants. Eyelash Extensions are safe and comfortable to wear, and if applied properly, they will never be applied directly to your clients skin or eyelid. With routine touch-ups every two to four weeks, you can offer your clients amazing eyelashes indefinitely.
There are three types of eyelash extensions: synthetic, silk, and mink. Size availability ranges from 6mm to 17mm. Once selected, the lashes are applied one at a time using a specially formulated, semi-permanent glue that will not irritate the eye nor damage the natural lash.
Most lashes are synthetic (faux) mink made of polyester. You can get authentic mink that is harvested by brushing the animal; This looks and feels the most natural, but it is also the most expensive and doesn't last as long as synthetic. 'Polish' lashes, named for their black shine, are the least natural looking.
Eyelash extensions are applied onto the natural eyelash approximately 1mm away from the skin.
Adhesive should never make contact with the skin. We usually take out between 1 to 2 drops of adhesive per client, and we only use 1/10 of each drop! So when extensions are applied correctly, they should be seamless and NEVER EVER should you see clumps of glue ANYWHERE, not even a tiny amount!
